Modern Slavery Policy

The SEN Agency, Love Teachers Ltd has zero tolerance of slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking, in our own business and in the businesses we deal with.

Our commitments

- We will not knowingly take part in, or benefit from, modern slavery.

- We will treat everyone we work with fairly, pay them lawfully and give them a choice about the work they do.

- We will act promptly on any concern.

Our recruitment practice

- We check every candidate's identity and right to work in the UK before placement.

- We do not charge candidates fees for finding them work, in line with the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and the Conduct of Employment Agencies and Employment Businesses Regulations 2003.

- We pay candidates directly, accurately and on time. Payment is made through both PAYE and umbrella compan

- We give candidates clear written terms before they start.

Suppliers and partners

We expect schools, suppliers and partners to uphold the same standards. We will ask questions where something looks wrong and stop working with anyone who does not take the issue seriously.

Spotting the signs

Staff are trained to notice signs of exploitation, such as someone who cannot leave their job, has no control over their pay or documents, or appears fearful, controlled or in poor living conditions.

Reporting a concern

Report any concern to a Director on +44 (0)20 8798 3099 or office@thesenagency.co.uk. You can also contact the Modern Slavery Helpline on 08000 121 700, or the police on 999 if someone is in immediate danger. Concerns can be raised under our Whistleblowing Policy without fear of reprisal.

Responsibility and review

The Directors are responsible for this policy. It is reviewed each year and published with our Modern Slavery Statement.
